The space
Lata Lama has a large front terrace extending the whole length of the house and overlooks the front lawn and a is perfect place to catch the afternoon breezes.
Through the grand teak wood front doors you enter in to an expansive, beautifully decorated open plan living area tiled throughout with hand crafted colonial style cement tiles. A central dining table sits under the intricately hand carved central beams. Great for dinner parties & family gatherings.
A stunning four poster hand carved antique Madura bed dressed with sumptuously plump cushions & bolsters in fine fabrics is the perfect place to get lost in a good book or an afternoon snooze.
The central island kitchen area leads to the pool deck and makes a wonderful warm heart to the home, it really is the hub of activity. This is a great space to work your culinary magic in and is well equipped for guests who really love to cook and entertain.
Lata lama has two large double bedrooms with wooden floors, hand carved king size beds adorned with mosquito nets, crisp white cotton bedding & en-suite bathrooms with open air showers. Both rooms open onto the pool & garden and are decorated with wonderful one off vintage pieces & antique Indonesian furniture.
The third bedroom is the `Cosy Cottage` separate from the main house. Much smaller than the other bedrooms but very cosy and ever so cute. The entrance to this charming room in on a wooden deck overlooking the Lotus Pond.
This room is more suitable for one adult, teenagers or older kids.
The cottage shares an expansive bathroomwith the Red Room and includes a Victorian style bath tub and open air tropical shower, both rooms have separate bathroom entrances.
* Extra beds are possible in all three rooms if required.
The enchanting garden at the back of the house is like a secluded private hideaway, surrounded by majestic trees, if you are lucky you may get to glimpse the resident family of electric blue king fishers. In the centre of this tranquil oasis is a sparkling cool clear pool. A traditional Bale sits at one end of the pool makes a wonderful place to cool off, relax & unwind in the shade.

An enchanting little video with both aerial shots plus the interior and exterior. Front veranda of the Joglo, complete with outside seating. Spacious dining area, relaxing daybed and media area. The petite outside joglo will accommodate 2 persons. Both main bedrooms are the same; large double bed and ensuite bathroom. Fully appointed kitchen with breakfast bar to the back garden. Swimming pool with plenty of options for relaxation in this large private area.
