Is a traditional Indonesian Gladak house.
A wonderful century old teak wood house. Lovingly restored & stunningly decorated with vintage-chic interiors.
We came across this amazing lovely house half way up a mountain on a road trip to Java, abandoned and in need of tender loving care we couldn`t just leave her like that. We bought her back to Bali and got to work on her restoration. We sourced columns, panels and carved pieces to compliment her look and after a complete transformation, she now sits pretty and proud in her own little walled tropical lush green garden in the Lata Lama village.
The house is set in its own private garden with your own plunge pool & lounging area.
The light and airy open living pavilion overlooks the pool and has a compact well equipped kitchen & dining are.
A crisp and cool Mediterranean blue & white theme runs throughout the house.
The front terrace with two day beds for relaxing, leads to the main room which has a double bed with a mosquito net and a little extra sofa bed set into a cute recess.
A stunning Moroccan tiled bathroom leads to an open air tropical shower room which is accessible from the garden and bedroom.
The entrance pans from the daybed in the corner, across the pool to the main house. Into the main house past the outdoor seating area to the main bedroom.
A daybed on the right will accommodate an extra person as we go down into the open air bathroom on the left.
Now we see the courtyard and the pool. Relaxing armchairs on the side patio with the kitchenette. This accommodation is intimate - with beautiful colours.
